Online Editor
The Online Editor is responsible for developing the web content strategy and editorial calendar to increase and maintain search engine placement for three travel-related consumer websites and additional sites as the strategy calls for them. Responsibilities include writing and editing copy, building multi-media packages, working with suppliers to create online promotions and developing internal and client e-newsletters.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Research and write original content. Monitor wires and industry news to maintain and update daily content.
  • Assist staff of travel consultants editing and maintaining several blogs.
  • Work with internal staff and suppliers to develop content and promotions packages.
  • Work collaboratively with SEO/SEM firm to promote keyword campaigns.
  • Track performance of all marketing strategies and tactics and provide key metrics reports with analysis and recommendations.

Skills/Experience

  • 1-3 years editing and writing experience.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to see projects from conception through completion.
  • The ability to prioritize, multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively and effectively with all levels including internal senior management, staff and external vendors.
  • Graphic design skills preferred.
  • Basic programming skills helpful, but not necessary.
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, English, public relations or similar.
